Pollution levels worldwide are growing at a faster pace than expected, and climates are changing accordingly. What do you think are the causes of pollution? What are its impacts on the environment? J2YVw
Today we are observing that there is more pollution throughout the world than there used to be in the past, and it has not stopped yet, but getting worse, resulting to radical changes in the climate. There exist certain causes of this environmental catastrophe and this development has led to some undesirable consequences. Pollution levels have increased for the following reasons. First, household waste and tourism are the root causes of land pollution. In fact, families are using plastic materials for packaging purposes, which take thousand years to decompose, and throwing them on the ground, while tourists are leaving their litters in the places where they have used them, especially near seashores. The growth in the amount of carbon footprint, caused by manufacturing industries and car emission, and pouring waste materials into the ocean water, are the reasons for air pollution and water pollution. This is because most of the factories use coal and cars run on petrol, for energy supply, which exhaust harmful fumes to the atmosphere, and waste liquids, poured into the ocean, are usually toxic. As for effects, there are a number of ways that the environment has already been impacted. Initially, because of air pollution, the atmosphere has become weaker now to prevent harmful gases coming from the sun that are reaching the earth surface and heating it. Consequently, widespread forest fires in tropical areas, floods in countries nearby oceans, as well as droughts in the middle of continents are more frequent nowadays than ever before. Secondly, the creatures that live on the land and in water are dying. In detail, long period draughts have resulted to the shortage in food and water supply for the most of animals, meanwhile, by accidentally intaking plastic materials and toxic chemicals, most types of amphibia are being poisoned and as a result die. In conclusion, human action and industrial process are the main contributing factors for pollution of land, water and air and it is leading to a number of natural disasters, problems associated with food and water supply for most of animals and the death of most water animals.
