Most people have forgotten the meaning behind traditional or religious festivals, during festivals period, people nowadays ony want to enjoy themselves. What extent with this? WRWKa
In this modern era, it is undeniable fact that festival has been forgotten by individuals whether it is traditional or religious festivals. These days, most people prefer to do fun instead of knowing original meaning of festivals. I agree with this statement upon to certain extent, on the contrary I don't agree that people have forgotten what this festivals mean. To embark upon, there are myriad reasons why individuals should know the meaning of festivals. Firstly it is more significant for human to learn meaning of various occasions. To be more precise, if a person knows the value of festivals then they obey the rules of particular religion and also they can teach next generation original mean. In addition, not only that generation learn origin meaning of festivals but also can be presented valuable occasions. As they know the importance of it. For instance, according to a survey conducted by newspapers that more than 50% people knew value of festivals as they can discuss with next generation. Furthermore, another striking point is that festivals have a historical background. This is because more and more people know this background as it is identity of religious. Moreover, schools should be taught underlying meaning of such festivals have been forgotten. In the UK primarily schools, children learn in detail about the religious reasons for celebrating Christmas, Easter and variety of festivals in other religions. However, there are few reasons why the majority of people treat festivals as opportunities to have fun. One of the paramount reasons is that the most of society spend large amounts of time in celebration rather than a time to practice religion. To cite an example, in the uk, Christmas is a good example of festivals period when people are most concerned with shopping, giving and receiving presents and so on instead of knowing that traditional festivals. In conclusion, although the paramount role of festivals to celebrate and enjoy it, I deem that it is more imperative that individuals should be learned meaning of traditional or religious festivals.
