A group of people believes that competitive sports give out benefits for people from different groups and countries in the world. Others think that these sports will only effect people peace in a negative way. I think that sports that are competitive could disturb the peace between people from different countries.
On one hand, competitive sports can help people from groups and countries in many different ways. One main advantage is that it could help that group of people and countries to gain popularities and earn some money. In every competitions there are awards for the winner, and these awards could really help those winner individually and country too. For instance, FIFA world cups, it is one of the most popular competitions in soccer. A lot of group coming from different countries join, the winner of this competitions could win the prize of massive amount of money and can be famous.
On the other hand, sports competitions can disrupt the peace between groups of people from different countries as they could create tension between them. This tension can be due to the feeling of upset and felt the competition was unfair. For example: In the recent SEA game that is hosted in Cambodia. There are some troubles that raise up between countries that joined the SEA game. The citizen of Thailand felt that their players are being mistreated by the Cambodians. Due to this statement, Cambodians responded back of how it’s not true.
In my point of view, I believe that sports competitions can cause the tension between people and this could led to disrupting the peace between countries.
In conclusion, competitive sports can be beneficials by earning the popularity and prizes. However, it can cause the tensions between countries.
