The line graph provides information about how many people used Paris Metro within a solid year (2010)
Overall, using tube was not as popular in the first half of the year as it was in the next six months.
Focusing on the details, increasing steadily from just 6 thousand in February to a double of 12 thousand in April, the number of commuters then saw a period of fluctuation in the following two months, going up and down between 10 000 and 12 000. This was followed by a plunge in July, at which time the numbers hit an all-time low of just under 6 000. Interestingly, from the very next month there was seen a surge in the trend, with the line witnessing a fourfold increase, representing exactly 24 thousand in August. Although from August to October not any noticeable change was recorded, the indicators had then seen a second low of 18 000 by mid-October.
Looking closely at the last quarter of the year, it seems that this period was by far the busiest time for the Paris underground. Especially, in November, we can see a peak of 32000 in the number of metro users, although the last month was just the beginning to experience the next fall.
