The line graph illustrates the consumption of potatoes, pasta and rice for a European country between the year 1976 and 2006. The unit is given in grams and it represents the intake by each person in a week. Overall, potato consumption was higher in the starting years but over the time pasta became more popular. In 1976, potato and rice consumption was higher than pasta which was about 400 and 300 grams respectively. Over the years potato consumption took a dramatic decline whereas rice intake after taking fall hits the plateau. On the other hand, pasta which was not that popular in earlier years showed a sharp increase in its consumption. By the year of 1996 it peaked with 400 grams and remained almost constant over the years between 1996 and 2006.
