he use of personal cars has increased more than ever before but this use of cars causes many problems. What are those problems? In order to reduce these problems, should we discourage people to use cars?

It is irrefutable that in this modern era, the usage of private vehicles has rise significantly as compared to the past. As a result, it create several problems ranging from air pollution to more accidents. As far as my views are concerned, I certainly believe that we should encourage people to use cars only for long distance. To begin with, there are two major problems of increasing the usage of car. First of all, it creates air pollution. To elaborate it, the more number of cars emit the huge amount of carbon dioxide and other toxic gases in the air. Consequently, it leads to a global warming. Not only air pollution, cars are major contribution of sound pollution. In addition to this, personal cars also leads to road accidents as it give an invitation to traffic congestion. Every person wants to reach their destination as soon as possible. However, due to traffic, people have to get ready in advance and they spend most of their time in traffic. In order to cope with the problem, people should be encouraged to use their personal cars only for the long travel. They should prefer walk for short distance as it will not only beneficial for the environment but also for their health. Moreover, citizens should also give preference to the public transport. This would help to decrease the carbon dioxide level as a single bus would be serving 20-25 people at a time. This will also reduce traffic congestion. Furthermore, individuals should be motivated to use car pooling. Folks should take the advantage of car pooling, instead of travelling by their own vehicle. It will mitigate the problem of traffic as well as environmental. In conlusion, it is true that increasing count of private vehicles give birth to several problems like as environment pollution and more accidents; however, these issues can be mitigated by both ways, car pooling and by using public transport.
