In terms of economic recession it become more important to think about where you spend your time and energy. Many people believe that spending time on fun and pleasure things is good, but I personally believe that it is better to devote your time to useful tasks. I think this way for two reasons, which I want to explore in the following essay.
To begin with, it’s better to your financial situation. Most unpleasant time connected with work or education which enhance your future outcomes. For example, if you choose to spend more time at work on additional tasks, you may be promoted and get a bigger salary. I have same personal illustration of this. When I was a student, I took additional computer science classes instead of parties. I helped me to become a better programmer than my peers. As the result I got the best intern position with very competitive selection process.
Moreover, often things that do not give you joy in process provide positive results later. Great illustration about this idea is a sports training. You go to a gym everyday, work hard, but you do not see immediate results. Many people, including me, do not enjoy this, but at the end of regular training you always enjoy a result. For example, when I was preparing for a swim competition, I trained for two hours every day. It was not fun and I didn’t see any progress, but when I made a test try of race distance I was surprised of results improvements.
In conclusion, I strongly believe that spending your time on thing that you should is better because you will be more successful in financial terms and will have same positive emotions and results at the end.
