The given bar chart illustrates the number of flights from eight different airlines to Hong Kong in per week in 1980 and 2000. Overall, there was an increase in the quantity of weekly flights coming to Hong Kong from 1980 to 2000, with Singapore Airways, Thai Airways and Malaysia Airlines witnessing the most dramatic rise. In addition, Singapore Airways, Thai Airways and Malaysia Airlines also contributed the most flights in 2 years. Regarding Singapore Airways, Thai Airways and Malaysia Airlines, their flights sent to Hong Kong started at 16, 12 and 11 units respectively, after which they saw a significant increase to almost the same, 44 airplanes averagely. Similar change, but to a lesser extent, was seen in the figure for Japan Air Lines, which grew from 12 to 36 flights. In 2000, the flights coming from Korean Air and Cathay Pacific were 23 and 16 in the order given, which was double than that of theirs in 1980. 2 flights were sent to Hong Kong from Canadian Air in 1980, compared to 5 of those in 2000. Meanwhile, Dragon Air did not have any flights to Hong Kong in the first year examined, but there was 10 in the second year.
