In many countries nowadays, more and more women have full-time jobs as men, so there is logic that men and women should share the housework task equally. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Over the last two decades, gender equality has remarkably improved globally. In comparison with men, we can observe that a plethora of women scholars are being employed in full-time jobs. In this regard, whether men and women should share the household chores or not has aroused a debate. In my perception, I am in favor of sharing the housework equally. This essay elaborates the reasons for my standpoint. Firstly, work-life balance is important for women as it is for men. Apart from the regular nine-to-five job schedule, women are expected to complete the household tasks all by herself. After a long tiring day at work, taking care of household work all alone could be frustrating for ladies with no time left for their relaxation. This can also be a critical reason for conflicts that arise between couples. Hence, it is vital that men should come to their senses and take equal responsibility to help their life partner. For example, the couple can take turns to do the dish-washing and cooking alternatively. Therefore, both the husband and wife can complete the house cleaning and cooking easily and spend some time together to relax. Secondly, sharing tasks at home increases the bond between the couple. Not only does this enable a stronger relationship but also makes it last longer. Moreover, combined efforts and planning to complete the errands makes them more productive leading them to become financially stable. Lastly, gender equality needs to be practiced at home before sharing posts about feminism and respecting women on social media. In conclusion, I am convinced that equal contribution in completing the household errands can drive a better tomorrow. Abiding by the vows taken during the marriage ceremony, gents should understand their wife's happiness and sorrows and share them.
