A time I have encountered failure and Fixed it

I have encountered many obstacles in my life which have caused me to doubt myself and underestimate my abilities. As a human, we tend to make many mistakes throughout our lives which we learn from. Failure can give us very valuable experiences and lessons that force us to have motivation and determination to succeed and do our very best. Growing up, I did not value my education and did not make an effort to complete my assignments which caused many bad habits. One of those habits was procrastination, which made me worry about assignments last minute and only care enough to do them to make those around me proud. I didn't value my education much until my 8th-grade year. I was inspired by those around me when I started to surround myself with people who wanted to excel not only in school but in their future. After spending more and more days with those friends, I noticed that I wanted to focus on my education and on a plan for my further education, which I did not have. When my 8th-grade year was coming to an end, I noticed that I wanted to attend a school that prepared me for further education after high school and would help me maintain those goals I have created for myself. I wanted to be surrounded by a community that would not only help me to do my best but also challenge me. When I started high school, I quickly realized all the habits I have formed in my previous years of education, were not helpful at all. I would start to procrastinate and forget to do assignments which made me realize that If I wanted to succeed, I had to face that challenge and learn from it in order to succeed. I started to do my work on time and take extra time to study those assignments I would not understand. After a couple of months, I quickly realized that when you put in the work then you'll be soon rewarded with the results you wanted. Not only did I make those around me proud, but I made myself proud and learned a fundamental lesson to be successful.
