some believe that men and women are equal and so women are able to do any job they want. others feel that men and women are not equal and therefore there certain jobs that are not suitable for women. what is your opinion?

Some people are in the view that men and women are not equal and therefore they should not be offered the same job responsibilities while others possess different view. The other group have the notion that women being equal to the men can be assigned anywhere like men. In my opinion, though men and women should not be discriminated in the job place, due to biological and physical differences all jobs are not suitable for the female. In this essay I shall shade light on this issue. To begin with, some professions require physical strength and stamina where male employees are better suited than their female counterparts. For example, the job of mining, drilling, excavating etc. require movement of heavy tools and equipment which is not possible for female due to lack of muscle power and stamina. If females are appointed to carry these heavy tools they may face physical illness, sufferings and in the long run they may lose fertility. In addition to the above-mentioned reasons, there are some jobs which require regularity and punctuality for the sake of smooth operation. For example, a hospital requires the service of a surgeon on a continuous basis. If there is any interruption due to absenteeism of the employees, it will put a huge pressure on others to fill up the gap. Now if a female surgeon goes on a maternity leave for a significant period, her position must be replaced by another for which the hospital may suffer from monetary loss. In conclusion, although some people believe that women possess knowledge, education, competence as male do but due to the nature and complexity of the job, women can’t serve the same purpose as their male counterparts do.
