Nowadays, whereas there is a pressing necessity to construct new buildings in several residential quarters, and the only suggested locations are in the rural areas, I would disagree with this statement due to its tremendous deleterious influences.
To begin with, constructing new domiciles in the green built deteriorates the environment, and the flora and fauna. To illustrate, turning the rural regions into edifices leads to curtailing the green areas which are essential in photosynthesis. This is because these trees absorb Co2 emissions, which are detrimental to human life, and provide humanity with the vital gas ‘O2’. For example, if the government had to apply this proposal, not only would the air pollution rate rise but the productivity of crops also diminish considerably. Consequently, the state will have to import the grains from abroad with the hard currency.
Furthermore, the construction of buildings in the farmlands raises the unemployment percentage in society. To clarify, numerous farmers, whose only experience in life is agriculture, will lose their source of income, and become idle. This is due to the fact that the urban sprawl in the countryside depletes the farms, which are the work environment of the agriculturalists. For this reason, unless the government takes strict measures against this phenomenon, the number of jobless will increase.
In conclusion, although adequate accommodation is essential, I firmly believe that conservation of the quiet countryside requires to be prioritized so as to protect economical and environmental impacts. This position is fairly logical because the importance of the latter exceeds that of the former.
