Although you have never formally studied computing, you have always been interested in computers. You have just read about a computer course that really interests you, but it is only for people who have completed an elementary course.

I was searching for a course that has to to with the computational science field and I just read about a course in your university that I found very interesting.
However, I was wondering if there are some kind of formal requirements to enroll, since I don't fulfill the profile to join this course.
I was always interested in computers and I even teached myself programming when I was 12. I also participated on many projects in my school when it came for some kind of website renovations or system failures and and regularely helped my physics teacher with his cosmic simulations when needed and learned a lot whereas the rest of my mates didn't put any interest on this field.
It's true that I never completed some kind of computing course, but let's face it, I'm more than able to join the course and I wanted to ask if there is some way to join it without having to proof previous formal knowledge.
I thought of a test or an interview (or both) with some proffesor from the computing department for you to be sure that I'm ready for this course.
I would kindly appreciate a response from you.
