Do you agree or disagree with the following statement: One quality that a successful leader must have is to make decisions quickly; when a leader takes too much time to make decisions, he will be seen as ineffective to the people he leads.

It is highly accepted that there are several requirements to gather a number of people as a group. These requirements are common goal, similar interests and a good leader. If a group does not have a qualified leader, it will be disappeared in the near future. When it comes to a qualified leader, one of the most important traits is being decisive. The following reasons will support my idea. First of all, every group has particular problems and dificulties and it is leader's responsibility to handle these situations by finding and expressing suitable solutions to the members of the group, as fast as possible. Secondly, the group members should be able to trust their leader's abilities in order to follow the advices. If a leader can not make decisions quickly, how could the members believe in the truth of the commands? Thirdly, in some cases, it is vital for the leader to be decisive because the nature of some fields is critical and we should solve their problems very quickly in order to keep our group in the field. For instance, in some competitive fields like stocks, we should be able to overcome the obstacles and choose the best reaction or our group will fail in the competition. To sum up the ideas, every gathering of people needs a decisive leader to keep going forward and making progress. It is also essential to create a trustful atmosphere, so the members will obey the rules which are made by a decisive leader.
