It is primarily through our identification with social groups that we define ourselves.
It is primarily through our identification with social groups that we define ourselves. 2jANj
To define ourselves basically means to characterize the goodness and badness or the level or position of our thoughts and activities. Some people might state that we define ourselves primarily through our indentification with social groups. I strongly agree with the statement. I suppport my claim with two points.
Defining ourselves is very subjective and are dependent on our indetification from our social groups. Social groups are groups of people with same thoughts or characteristsics. Every time we are influnced by people surrounding us or the social group we associate with and helps us develop our own personality. For instance, a new born child develops his personality as a derivative from his parents. They are the social group which here is a family he associates with. He might be defined by people to be good son, bad son. Moving further, once he goes to college he might be asscoiated with social group of friends. They further influence his thinking and character. He might now be recognized as the friend of back benchers.
In the corporate world, we are defined by our corporate social group. We are futher added with more indentites such as he is an employee of XYZ company, should have good technology grasp, he is diligent and harworking. Further in the parenting age we are added with more social indentities such as a good parent or bad parent, good role model for kids. If we go out for travelling we might be added to the soca=ial group of Indian. We humans are social beings, so it very hard to seperate oursevles are think of as an single unit.
Some people might argue that each individual should have its own personality and should be able to define themesleves as a single unit. But this is partically impossible, we are always associated with social groups right from out birth and are some way or other affected and carved becuse of these social groups. So we primarily define oursleves, through our indentifiation with social groups
To
define

basically
means to characterize the goodness and badness or the level or position of our thoughts and activities.
Some

might

Defining ourselves is
very
subjective and are dependent on our

Social
groups
are
groups
of
people
with same thoughts or
characteristsics
. Every time we are
influnced
by
people
surrounding us or the
social
group
we associate with and
helps
us develop our
own
personality.
For instance
, a new born child develops his personality as a derivative from his parents. They are the
social
group
which here is a family he associates with. He
might
be defined
by
people
to be
good

bad
son. Moving

, once he goes to college he
might
be
asscoiated

In the corporate world, we

Some
