To what extent do you agree or disagree? With the breathtakingly rapid development of technology nowadays, some people believe that there is no need for students to attend lectures any longer. I absolutely disagree with this idea. In my opinion, attending lectures can provide students with the important experiences of emotional presentation and personal interaction. First of all, during personal presentations a lecturer can share information using various emotional approaches, which make it easier for students to fully comprehend the data presented during the lecture. A teacher giving a lecture can adjust his tone or intonation according to his audience’s response to the speech. In this way, they can maximize the amount of information received by the listeners. Thus, it is actually more effective to attend the lectures of an experienced professor, since one can learn and remember much more materials in this manner. In addition, visiting lectures can also help students understand the topic through interaction. To commence with, the students can communicate directly with the professor either during or after the lecture, thus making the learning process even more efficient. Besides, students can independently exchange their views among themselves in order to make sure they really understand the theme. Communication is of tremendous value in the process of studying, and attending lectures provides learners with an opportunity to interact with others and obtain knowledge. In conclusion, it is highly important for students to attend lectures. Technology can serve as a helpful addition to the personal lessons. However, it cannot take the place of actual face-to-face presentations.
