It is visible that plenty of the professional sports are huge industries and being the best sportsperson of one of them will make one a fortune. Sports are getting acknowledged by people around the globe and with the passing time it is most likely to get more and more popular.
There is no doubt that there is whole lot of money in sports and there are a few sportsperson who even ranks in worlds richest man. Sometimes Earning huge income can devour a person. Although, person with a background as sports has good discipline over his self. So it's not the case with a good athlete at least.
The people who play for money can still give their best as they are terrified with the thought of not earning money after loosing. Saying this, it is also possible that that person doesn't care about sportsmanship so, it is most likely for that person to go on any means to win the game. Which eventually lead to loosing the purpose of game. There is a lot to a game than just winning and earning.
It is the tendency of humans that if he doesn't get what he wanted he will get upset and because of this he will not give his all next time. So, if the earnings are reduced then people are least likely to select sports as a career. I being a student always dreamed of being a football player. Therefor, I know the hardship of the players to reach that position.
Reaching the peak requires hard work and hard work boosts self respect. Still, there are some who can be shameless. So, It is not money which makes us forgot the purpose but its the mindset. Now the question is, will we be ever able to overcome our greed and selfishness?
