Some people believe that parents should teach their children how to be good members of society. Others however believe that school is the place to learn this. Discuss both views and give your opinion

Children are considered the future of the nation. Some people believe that parents should be responsible for education and upbringing of children, while others think that the school should teach them how to behave. In this essay I will discuss both views and add some of my thoughts. First of all, parents are the first teachers. Children at an early age spend almost all their time with their parents. As a consequence, they have a great influence on the personality of their children. At this age, children quickly catch the facial expressions and actions of their parents and begin to repeat after them. for example, if they see that their father or mother is affectionate and respectful of strangers, they will do the same when they grow up. in addition, they learn basic qualities such as honesty, respect, how to communicate with strangers and the elderly from their parents. however, the school also plays an important role. In my opinion, school is an environment in which people provide what they learn at home. Another important point: some children begin to imitate their ideal teacher, they try to be like them. Furthermore, not all parents can spend sufficient time with children because of their ever-increasing business outside of homes and for those students teachers play an important role. Some students listen to the teachers they like and follow their instructions like written laws. Thus teachers can contribute towards teaching the morality and responsibilities to the children. In conclusion, parents and teachers play the same role in the behavior of children, but parents have a great influence on how children develop and shape their personality.
