Last summer vacation, I had a chance to go to Thanh Ha pottery village in Hoi An town with my mother. It is not far from my house so I just have to spend over 30 minutes getting there by motorbike. When arriving at this village, I had to walk on a long road because public transport is forbidden. During this journey, I learned a lot from the experience, especially making pottery. The artisan was very friendly and gave clear instructions and prepared me well for making a flower vase because this was the simplest product which was suitable for a beginner like me. This was the first time I had made myself a product made of clay that I feel so excited about it. Although my flower was not as beautiful as the other product made by the artisan, I was fond of it. I used to think that cooking is complicated, and there are plenty of places where we can buy pottery. But now, I completely changed my mind. I find that learning how to make pottery is extremely useful, as this skill is extremely beneficial to our life.
