Transporting large amounts of food to richer countries from the developing world is having an impact on air pollution and climate change. Some people say such imports should therefore be reduced. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion?

People have done enough damage to the eco system. For that reason, many individuals have thought about all kinds of methods that could help the environment. Several people have been thinking that transporting a great number of food to more wealthy countries from developing nations has a huge impact on climate change and air pollution. Consequently those kinds of imports should be reduced. While there are many reasons to justify such a viewpoint, I don’t agree with it. Firstly, the more developed world should assist developing countries. Nevertheless, since transporting large amounts of food has a huge impact on climate change, every country should aid poorer countries. It is possible that some products are produced in those countries that cannot be produced in the developed world. People should not be concerned about air pollution in this case thus it is important to maintain aid to those countries and help them grow economically. Secondly, recycling and paying more attention to the environment could help more to reduce air pollution. Nowadays, climate change and air pollution are forgotten by many individuals. However, it is important to pay more attention to these problems. People could start to recycle, use more eco-friendly transportation, such as cycling, car sharing, etc. And that’s how everybody can reduce air pollution. In conclusion, there are many more ways to reduce air pollution and climate change, and the developed world has to retain its assistance to undeveloped countries because that’s how rich countries can help others to grow financially.
