Government funding should only provide scholarships for best students. All other funding should come from student fees and private organizations. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Nowadays, some people believe that providing scholarships for those students who are the best in various fields is governmental duty. The university financial combine with student fees and private companies support. In my opinion, I disagree with this point of view. On the one hand, those students who have a great success in their fields could be inspired by government financial support, and also benefit to universities. Firstly, the best students would study more effective in order to win the scholarships. They would study more harder and get a successful in various field, which make the country stronger and richer. Secondly, it is a good way to simplify the financial structure. Universities just need to focus on students academic study and the quality of teaching, which make a beneficial environment for students. On the other hand, there are some issues about this point of view. First of all, the government funding should be provided for those poor students instead of other students. Supporting the poor is the governmental duty, it is not reasonable to support the best students. So many students could go to universities and finish their study career without financial stress. In addition, universities financial are not only depend on students fees and private organizations. If universities need to support a research which may consume a lot of money, they have to increase the fees. It could add students’ family financial pressure. If schools are not raise enough money from students and companies to support daily operation, they may go bankrupt. Finally, schools could use governmental financial support to help students. Building a library or a gym is a good way to support students. Students could study effectively in a quiet and comfortable place, and do some exercises in the gym in order to reduce academic pressures and some physical problems like obesity. In conclusion, governmental responsibility is to help those students who suffer from illness or poverty, supporting those best students could be schools’ duty. And there are some ideas for universities to improve students study and life. If more and more people could have chance to attend colleges and get a good education, our country would be more and more stronger.
