The line chart demonstrates the statistics about the quantity of library books read by two genders at Starmouth School between 2006 and 2012.
Overall, there was an upward trend in books which are read by females. Even though male readers increased sharply in two first years, they tend to read less books in 2012, as proven by the chart.
At the beginning, books read by male were more than female, the number of female readers continued rising dramatically in the first two year. As shown on the chart, there was a the drastic increase from 50 to 100 books which were read by males. But after that, the quantity of books read by boys experienced a rapid fall of 20 books between 2011 and 2012.
Despite having a lower beginning with only 25 books, books read by females increased gradually in two first years. In 2010, it started rising sharply from 40 to 100 books and continued increasing to reach a peak at 140 books in 2012.
