Water Cycle how it effects us
Water Cycle how it effects us wmPVr
There is a limited amount of water on planet Earth. This mean that we won’t get new supply of water to Earth, and we won’t be able to remove toxic water from so there is a fixed amount of water on earth. The first step is evaporation. This means it evaporates the water on the ground, lakes, river and oceans but there is also another type of evaporation this is kind of a sub type which is called transpiration. What transpiration does is it evaporated water from leaves, so if the tree has big leaves more transpiration there will be if it has small leaves less amount of transpiration there will be. Some trees have adapted there leaves to reduce the amount of transpiration. Cacti does this because they have spiked leaves which doesn’t allow a lot of water to transpiration. They do this because there isn’t a lot of rain in deserts. When the water gets evaporated or transpiration it turns into water vapor which get cooled down and turned into clouds when it reaches a limit in the atmosphere which is called condensation. After the Wind blows it away. When the clouds get very heavy it precipitates can be as water, snow or hail. Then some of the water goes underground which is called infiltration and some goes down to the lowest place it can find like lakes, rivers and oceans which is called runoff. When there is runoff, it carries soil and rocks with it and trees are places on top of most hills to prevent this. The water that goes underground are stored in aquifers. There are three layers to and aquifer Unconfined aquifers, confined aquifers and the last layer is also called confined aquifers. The first layer release water every day and year the second takes centuries for that to happen and the third takes millennia. Earth is in danger because the glaciers are melting which release more water into sea which brings the sea level higher. This can lead to flooding in some places.
