From an overall perspective, it is evident that the rate of customers who went to a café for both coffee or tea in last 4 weeks more than bought 1 of 2 drinks in all five cities. In addition, the proportion of buying and drinking coffee and tea shows an upward trend over the same period. Firstly, the dimension of numbers of fresh coffee buyers over the recent 4 weeks hit the highest point at about 43% in Sydney, followed by 41% in Melbourne and 34% in Brisbane and Adelaide. There has gradually increased by 3% in Hobart. Secondly, the percentage of the amount of people who bought instant coffee has witnessed a fluctuation at the same time. The rate of customers of instant coffee reached a peak at 54% in Hobart, followed by 50% in Adelaide and rose 2% in Brisbane. The rate of the purchase of instant coffee has slightly decreased to 48% in Melbourne and 45% in Sydney in the last 4 weeks. Lastly, the rate of people’s went to a café for coffee or tea hit the highest point at 64% in Melbourne and has gradually declined in Hobart and Sydney. There has substantially decreased at 55% in Brisbane, followed by 50% in Adelaide.
