The line graph illustrates the proportion of four selected materials that were recycled in a specific country from 1982 to 2010.
Overall, the recycling rate for paper and cardboard remained the highest, and glass containers being the second highest, whereas plastics remained the least. Aluminum cans were low in the beginning but rised significantly almost near glass containers.
Paper and carboard on the year 1982 recycling rate started from nearly 65 percent and had a decrease and increase in the next 8 years but returned to the same value, after that, it had a 15 percent increased on 1994, but dropped 10 percent by 2010. Glass containers followed the same pattern but being 10% less than paper and cardboard on 1982 continuosly.
Aluminum cans recycling rate started on 1986 being the least recycled of all, but started increasing 5 percent steadily every 4 years. Plastics material was the least one of the materials to be recycled starting from 1990 at almost 3 percent and gradually increasing a few percentage and almost being near 10 percent on 2010.
