The work from home has been endorsed by some people as an affective way of doing job because it can minimize daily commute to work. This essay will discuss both the benefits and drawbacks of 'work from home' and explain why i believe it is an incredible idea.
Although it has few disadvantages, they can not be neglected. Firstly, the disturbance at home can hinder the progress in the work and it is, sometimes, difficult to focus on one's own job. This may result in decline in work efficiency. Secondly, some jobs mostly rely on one-on-one interaction and if that is missing, it is hard to satisfy the clients. For examples, those working in showrooms has to personally help out the customers in choosing the right vehicle. Finally, it can affect the professionalism of the employees, as they do not have to deal with different types of people on daily basis. Especially, the dress code, which is mostly followed at workplace, is hardly followed from work at home. This also affect the employees' personality negatively. In short, these are some of the drawbacks of work from home.
However, I believe that it has lots of benefits and is the way forward. Mainly, the companies, which usually have to hire large buildings to run their businesses, have no longer to rent out these places. This can incredibly decrease their expenses, which can be, in turn, used on facilitating employees at home by providing free internet service and computers. Moreover, This facility of working from home can benefit employees as well because they do not have to travel on daily basis to office. This may decrease their daily transport expenses. Furthermore, such pattern of work is also feasable during pandemic to decrease the spread of disease. This type of work has been sucessfully carried out during recent covid pandemic when employees were asked to work from home to help mitigate the spread of the disease. Surely, the benefits of work from are incredible.
To conclude, it is a great idea to work from home rather than travelling to the workplace. This may not only benefit the companies but also the employees, and in the times of pandemic it is the only way forward to continue their work.
