Some people think that the range of technology currently available is increasing the gap between the poor people and the rich people. Others think that it is causing the opposite effect. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

Some people think that the range of technology currently available is increasing the gap between the poor people and the rich people. Others think that it is causing the opposite effect. RdRrQ
The developments in technology have undeniably changed everyone’s lives, including both the rich and the poor categories of people. It is considered by some that these developments are naturally making the difference between the qualities of lifestyles of the aforementioned categories even higher than it was before, while others believe that this difference is actually getting lower. In my opinion, the gap between the poor and the rich has remained the same, the only thing that has changed being the improvement of each group’s way of living. On the one hand, technology presents plenty of opportunities, particularly for wealthy people, who can afford a large range of devices. However, not as many of these opportunities are available for the ones with lower sources of income. For instance, consider the robots that perform house chores, or security cameras placed in various spots around the home so that in case of a theft or any other emergency there will be some footage available. Such gadgets would certainly provide some measure of comfort for anyone possessing them. The wealthy certainly belong to this group of people, while the poor mostly don’t, which means that the former are experiencing far more diverse benefits from technology compared to the latter. On the other hand, everybody is experiencing technology at least in its fundamental form. One of the primary objectives of technology is to reduce the constraints imposed by large distances between individuals, and there aren’t that many who are at a significant disadvantage here. There are very few people who do not have access to a mobile phone, or TV. Admittedly, richer people can get more out of these devices, but overall it will not make a huge difference. Finally, in my opinion, technology does not change the way the wealthy have more advantages than the poor. It has always been a fact that the wealthy have more opportunities than the poor, and technology is not restricted to only one category of people as everybody is using it. In conclusion, the actual technology both creates greater opportunities for the ones with larger sources of income and at the same time enforces the standards of life for everybody. In light of these, one cannot say for sure that it changes the gap between social categories in some fashion.
