Some people say that humanitarian subjects such as philosophy, history and literature that people study in universities have no value for their future career. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement? Give your own opinion and relevant examples.

Humanitarian subjects are taught in curriculum from acquiring knowledge in humanitarian perspective. Academic career is important for us but some sort of humanity is always expected form us as we being the most sophisticated living being on earth. I completely agree that human behavior subjects shall be part of university study for following reasons. To begin with, people who opine that studying such subjects is just waste of time, has been narrow minded. They believe that remembering dates from the history of wars, understanding cultural differences in society can only be limited to books and doesn’t help us in our life goals. However, in today’s world where we all are living in hostile environment the goal of humanitarian education is to develop human behavior and creating groups or individuals who are willing to help each other or develop community for people in crisis. Canada is a perfect example who inculcate humanitarian behavior as they took under their shelter, thousands of refugees who were affected in Ukraine during war with Germany. On the contrary, if youth is not aware of society values and community behavior, they will never indulge in such activities where personal benefits are not aligned. Instead, people will start living more in isolation and will not be aware of society in the vicinity. Apart from the much popular career choices, I believe that historians, philosophers and literary scholars are equally contributing to the society well-being. Without the teachings of Mr. APJ. Kalam and geological researches of Mr. Jones this society could have not introduced to community belongings from 16th century. To conclude, humanitarian subjects shall be included as subject in the colleges or universities. In fact, they should be given equal importance as academic subjects when being chosen as study course to make career out of them.
