(Clark & Clark, 1975) In addition, when the meanings have no overlap, the baby start to make assumptions about the meaning of the words he heard from the people around him, as an example a baby used the word Hi, whenever he was under a blanket or when he was playing with toys on the end of his finger, the meaning was not well used and it had not sense for the parents of the kid until they remember that they used to put a puppet on her hand and started to say Hi, thereby the baby assume that the word hi was properly applied in those situations. (Clark & Clark, 1975)
