Welcome to Safety Week – Message from Karl Qiu
Hello all and welcome to Safety Week. These past few months have been extremely tough for us and especially the staff stayed in Shanghai. Company will provide continuous care and support to our employees. All of you have in the past year been in a lockdown yourselves and you know it isn’t easy. I do see a light at the end of the tunnel and I am hoping lockdowns will ease soon.
It is also important that you all continue to stay focused on your both physical and psychological health. Later this week there will be a session to discuss how to achieve better work and life balance. Professional EAP service is available to support you during this critical period. More communication, some relaxation, walk in the community garden, listen music and regular exercises will help us keep a good state of mind.
One of the things we have done this year with Safety Week is to introduce the Ice breaker app. The link can be found in the text below. I suggest you download and use it. It randomly pairs our coworkers in another location or region and you get to meet new colleagues and form new connections with people across the world. In these times a friendly voice across the seas is all we need to get a smile on our faces.
As we will join in many of the activities and discussions planned, I encourage you all to ask questions, contribute, share your own views on what more we could do on health and safety in offices and sites, what best practices have you seen elsewhere that we should be doing here in Worley? What should we be doing less off to focus our energies better? The best answers will all come from you and not from me and I am keen to hear what you have to say.
Our Life value is all about Being curious, Speaking up, Taking Action and Sharing Lessons – let’s take the next few days to live this value.
Take care and Stay Safe.
