Some people say that economic growth is the only way to end hunger and poverty, while others say that economic growth is damaging the environment so it should be stopped. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

Some people say that economic growth is the only way to end hunger and poverty, while others say that economic growth is damaging the environment so it should be stopped. xP0M6
As the world has been dramatically transformed with innovative production methods, economic efficiency has been boosted tremendously, bringing along various advantages and drawbacks in terms of leveling up human’s living conditions and standards as well as posing threat to sustainable issues. The question of whether this economic boost tendency ceases famine or leads to uncontrollable environmental-related problems has sparked controversies among critics, which I would discuss in the following statements. It is non-negotiable to state that major economic shifts have resulted in the transformation of myriad sectors, including agriculture, industry, and intellectual-based sectors. Obviously, improvement in agricultural production tools and facilities has provided sufficient and even abundant food for the increasing population, which has ceased famine and food shortage in many developing countries and generally succeeded in dealing with malnutrition-related issues. The leap in profits generated from countless economic activities, including assembly productions, service-based sectors has undoubtedly funded for research projects in the quaternary economic sector, for instance, the successful launchings of SpaceX promised the ushering of a new era in which brand new resources in the universe will probably be discovered to tackle the current issues of natural resources depletion. This energy problem seemingly will lift people in poor nations out of poverty as there is going to be more electricity available for farming production and basic needs. Additionally, better educational opportunities will probably be given to more students in developing nations due to the extension of the national budget when the economic productivity soared. Having said that, it is also vital to put environmental sustainability into meticulous consideration. In the race for profits and productivity, it seems impossible for firms and nations to prioritize sustainability over short-term development. As long as the ecosystem damaging acts have not been banned, it is not simple to put a stop to the incessant toxic waste released on the daily basis, which has severely damaged the natural diversity. With the trend of consumerism gaining popularity among new generations and inundated advertisements on social media, the excessive purchasing habits of consumers have long been developed, resulting in the immeasurable tremendous amount of goods being thrown away. Notwithstanding the current act of fashion enterprises in coming up with solutions to recycle fabric waste, this effort may not be sufficient, compared to the current waste. To conclude, economic development is deemed the sole way to solve the current issue of poverty and hunger. Nevertheless, regarding environmental issues, sustainable methods and strategies should be paid more attention to.
