Some people suppose that wild animals should be free and not in a cage in a zoo, whilst others think that zoos are beneficial for both humans and animals. Personally, I believe that both options have their advantages. Keeping animals in zoo have more benefits for them. Firstly, zookeepers provide health care and services to animals who wounded and stranded. Moreover, they help to ensure that endagared species do not become extinct. Secondly, zoos introduce people to what the animal populations are like around the world and educate people about conservation efforts. The zoo is a great place for the conservation and safety of the animals, as well as for the outlook of people. On the other hand, zoos have a negative impact on animals who are kept there. Animals such as tigers and lions are to roam in fields and hunt for their prey. And the limited space of zoos does not allow this to happen since, they are locked in a cage. It causes not only stress and discomfort but also shortens their life span. For instance, elephants live longer in wild conditions up to 36 years than in the zoo until age 17. As for space in zoos, lions have around 18 times less space in zoos than in the wild and wild polar bears 1 million times less space. All in all, zoos do not provide enough space and attention for the animals. To sum up, zoos help animals be in safity and care about them, however all animals deserve to be free and live their life in their natural habitat
