Character education encourages children to embed positivity in life, making them respond to real-life experiences positively. It is important that schools and institutions start to deliver efficient character education from kindergarten as this will shape children in their way of tackling problems they will later encounter in life. This proposed research is to explore the concerns of teachers from preschools and elementary levels, particularly those teaching children of 3 to 10 years of age. Additionally, this proposed research aims to clear out the dilemmas of whether to construct Character Education in school curriculums. This will also bring greater awareness to the importance of Character Education. Field research will be done at the public preschools and elementary schools of Chiang Mai. The research will be carried out as a qualitative research, using focus group discussions, one-one-one interviews and field observations. The respondents(teachers) targeted to include in this research, will be asked for consent and their profiles will be kept confidential, respecting their privacy. The results of this study will bring greater awareness to the importance of Character Education which will be useful in the further implementation of it at the schools which have not yet initiated one.
