Dear Sir,
I am Daria Fedotova living in Moscow and I am writing this letter to express my unhappiness towards the decision of pulling down the church in Fili. I know that it has been founded in 1689 and it need a full restoration that can cost an arm and a leg, however we should preserve this church.
Firstly, you can’t easily destroy a place of worship of thousands people, even when it needs a restoration it is still a church. Secondly, it is not only a pice of culture, but also a history, consequently built in 17th century this orthodox cathedral in style of Naryshkin baroque has to be a cultural monument. Moreover, it is red list in which this church should be listed.
I suppose that not only I wrote to you with such offer, so there is a plenty of people that are able to give us a helpful hand. You can establish donation boxes for repair near this church. In this way we can accumulate money for it in two or three month. Furthermore, there are a huge amount of different funds and points of volunteering that can also make a great contribution. We should preserve this piece of history among modern skyscrapers of Moscow City.
