In this day and age, people have been a significant amount of time at their workplaces more than doing other activities. A few individuals have high stress and worries on their brain, and they feel reluctant to talk with others. This essay will address the main reasons for this situation and its consequences. First, society is developing day by day, therefore, workers are likely to have to work more and more and spend all of their time in offices and jobs. In other words, there is great competition between companies and all organizations want to compete because employers force employees to work as much as possible. For instance, most full-time workers in Japan are required to work at least 15 hours a day so that companies can perform better. Secondly, nowadays, the daily expenses of a family have been rising day-by-day, such as the money spent on groceries, petroleum and so on. In this context, it is hard for a man to run a family with a single job or regular working hours so they are forced to work more. Nevertheless, it not only affects people's health but also negatively impacts their relationships. When people work long hours without doing any other activity, it reduces the level of people's physical and mental health. In detail, due to the time spent continuously in the working area, people do not follow a proper diet and unfortunately face various health issues like weak bones, weak eyesight, etc. Moreover, spending a lot of time on overtime jobs made the between families week, for example, many couples tend to divorce because they can not balance between work and life. To conclude, in my opinion, increased workforce and overtime have badly affected the social and family life of people. Even there are laws which say about minimum working hours of employees, many workers are forced to work over time. Hence, the government and authorities should take initiatives to come with a solution to this problem.
