Every country should produce enough of everything that the country needs so it does not have to rely on imports. Do you agree or disagree with this statement? Use specific reasons and examples to support your position.

Nowadays, with help of globalization, we could have apples from the United States of America for breakfast and tasty wine from Spain in our dining table. Teens and adults could have a choice to choose from wide varieties of clothing and fashion products. Globalization could bring everything to our doorstep, however, I strongly agree that the country's development depends on how the country produces everything possible in-house. Nations should become self-sufficient in producing goods which is required for their citizens. One of the greatest examples for self-sufficient production in India is the production of covid vaccines. India is one of the self-sufficient countries which has produced 50% covid vaccination in the world. India had utilized 70% of vaccine for its own citizens and supplied surplus production to other countries of the world. Even though Small scale industries in many countries produce goods for their local cities and towns, the products do not have global reach. Hence the government should encourage their citizens to produce goods with global standards for exporting surplus quantity. Most countries produce for their own needs by themselves to face any crisis which would happen in the future. India has a large amount of food production for their nation because India has good resource of soil, water and geography with better weather conditions which induce better growth of food crops. Local production will improve employment for the local people and develop country's economy. People get fresh vegetables and fresh fruits from local production where there might be additional preservatives in the imported vegetables and fruits from foreign nations. However, most developing countries do not have enough facility and infrastructure to produce their needs locally, hence they tend to import their basic needs from other countries. Two decades ago, middle east countries like United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia imported food products from other countries due to lack of infrastructure and weather condition, however their government invested in technologies and encourage their citizen for farming. These countries are now producing their 70% food needs locally using latest technologies. To conclude, I strongly agree that every country should produce their needs locally and reduce importing from outside countries.
