A choice I regret in my life KQOON
My name is Bongani Nkungwane, I am eighteen years old. My life is not perfect, there are choices that I have made which I regret. Out of all the choices that I have made there is this one choice that I really regret.
Two years ago when I was doing grade ten I made a choice to go out with my friends and not to study for the mathematics test that we were going to write at school. I thought i was going to do well even if I don't study but I was wrong. I still remember everything that happened like it was yesterday. My friends came at my house to fetch me at 09: 30 and we went to the mall. At the mall we met some beautiful girls and we all sat together and had fun. It was nice getting to know new people. At 19: 00 me and my friends went back to our homes. It was already dark outside when I got home and I was feeling cold so I decided to just go lay in bed and cover myself with blankets. I slept around at 23: 30, from 19: 00 to 23: 30 I was busy chatting with my friends on Facebook and watching videos on tiktok.
The next day was Monday I had to go to school and write that mathematics test I did not study for so I woke up in the morning at 06: 00 and got ready for school. I arrived at school at 07: 30 and went class, when I got to class my classmates were busy discussing what they had read I couldn't join them because I knew I didn't study so I just stood alone in the corner and waited for my friends to come. While I was waiting for my friends to come I felt sorry for myself, started regretting my choice of not studying. I ended up opening my mathematics book and studying a little. My friends arrived at school and The mathematics teacher came in, in class and started giving us question papers. I was able to answer question one but when I got to question two I just did not know what to do, I told myself that it is just one question let me pass it and do other questions. All questions after question two required answers from question two. I did not know what to do, I kept looking around in class to see if my friends are writing or not. Time finished up and question papers and answer sheets were taken.
I got 20 % in that test, I was the lowest in class I failed it and I was so disappointed. I was blatantly lying to myself when I was saying I'm going to do well even if I don't study.
