I would like to present my exam on the topic "Environmental Law and policy". First, the Law on Natural Resources and Environment of Vietnam is a law that has been applied since 1993, through 3 revisions in 2005 and 2014. Currently, the Law on Environmental Protection 2020 is in effect, has 16 chapters and 171 articles, including some groundbreaking new points. Firstly, expanding the scope of regulation, "residential community" is regulated as a subject in environmental protection, promoting the role of "residential community" in environmental protection activities. . Second, strictly control projects with high risk of adverse environmental impacts, and cut administrative procedures. Third, has regulated environmental health content; added many solutions to protect environmental components, especially the air environment, the water environment. Fourth, promote waste separation at source; orient how to manage and deal with waste. Fifth, the state management authority is based on the principle of general and unified management, one task is assigned to only one agency in charge of implementation; thoroughly decentralized to the locality. Sixth, specific regulations on environmental audit are prescribed for the first time in order to strengthen the capacity and efficiency of environmental management of enterprises. Seventh, concretize regulations on responding to climate change, promoting the development of the domestic carbon market. Eighth, perfecting the legal corridor for heritage protection in accordance with international law on heritage, meeting the requirements of the international integration process. Ninth, create policies to develop sustainable economic growth models, promote circular economy, restore and develop natural capital.
