To assert that from a wide range of different countries numerous people has become weathier thanks to the increase of economy during current years is really true. However, some studies address that while in developing countries people feel happier now than before, people in developed nations do not. This should be concerned and there are valuable lessons from it. I recognise that this is a serious case because people’s aim in this life is happiness. It is unfortunate for people in advanced nations that now they feel less happier than they were before. I think this case is caused by higher level demand of the rich. Once their physical lives is good enough, they need to take care of their mental lives. It is easy to understand that, nevertheless, people get familiar with a busy working life to focus on economic development during a long time, so after they reach the physical standards as they want, they fail to enjoy their lives in mental values. In contrast, in developing countries, basically they feel happier as they see their present living quality is absolutely better, comparing with their lives in many years ago. I have always believed that it does not matter how much money you earn if you do not accept what you have at the moment. What I learn from this case is that “a happy life” does not only depend on material factors but also mental factors. It is crucial to simultanously develop both internal and external values. Apart from that, I recognise that we should not spend all of our time leaning into work only but love gestures we do for our family and our friends will make us happier. It is widely believed money is really necessary but money is not everything. This is proved by the feeling of people in developed countries. Better we take care of our soul everyday to balance our material life and our mental life.
