The exposure of international media such as films, TV and magazines has impacts on local culture. What do you think the impacts have been? Do you agree that the advantages outweigh the disadvantages?

Nowadays, numerous people believe that local cultures have been affected by the international content such as music, movies, TV shows and magazines. In this essay, I will discuss both positive and negative impact of this. To commence with, international movies have remarkable positive impact on the local society and their culture. Firstly, by listening music in English, French and German languages, individuals can easily learn that language and it will benefit them in in their overall growth and their career. For example, many people are able to learn English language by watching hollywood films and tv shows. Secondly, people can get lots of knowledge about foreign cultures and traditions and it is beneficial for relation between two nations. It breaks the wall between people of two countries and builds bridge between them. On the other hand, access to foreign contents also have several disadvantages. To start with, cultural identity of any country has affected by the foreign influence. Folks will not get knowledge about their history and traditions. For example, people in India are forgetting their traditional fashion style and they are adapting western fashion in influence of western movies. In addition, many people try to imitate the lifestyle of foreign culture that will led to breakdown of any country’s culture. Furthermore, many media content related to violence and aggressive behavior may not be appropriate or suitable for younger generation. In conclusion, Although, exposure to international media has a significant impact, its advantages outweigh the disadvantages. It is very helpful in an improvement of foreign relation.
