Dear Jim,
I hope this letter finds you well. I'm writing this letter to let you know that I accidentally took your USB drive with me home.
I sincerely appreciate you for calling me over last night. I'm sure you've enjoyed my company and I must say, I had a ball playing those video games with you. Although I can't wait to come over again next weekend, I may not be able to make it as I have to take my mom to the hospital for her usual check up.
However, I didn't realise that we both had the same USB model and I apologise for the trouble I've caused. After copying all the photos we took yesterday from your computer, I left my USB next to yours before going out with you (leaving to) to the nearby restaurant. When I left home I mistakenly took your's instead since they're identical to mine.
Since I won't be there this weekend, I'll have my friend return the USB. He drives by your home each Saturday to the park near to your home with his kids. So, it'll be convenient for him to deliver it to you.
