I am glad to hear that you’re going to start your degree course after the completion of post secondary which would give you the leverage to make your professional career.
Family members are pretending you to opt computer science course which has become popular and more demanding these to grab job in a IT companies with lucrative salary whereas others few think that career in history based courses are not demand and moreover difficult to get a job.
As far as I know successful people are in each and every profession whether it is a computer science or history based profession therefore I suggest you to enrol yourself in that course in which you have interest and eventually you would do the extraordinary things in that particular field as well because will put your full efforts to reach at highest position in that domain.
I hope you will become a successful person in your interested field with your hard work.
