Because of increased use of vehicles and amount of traffic, some people people claim that it would be the best if people reduce the traveling whether for work, shopping or education. Although it can be effective in some way, in my opinion, it it not the only mean to solve this issue. For a solution to traffic congestion, people can go out if it only necessary so that there would be less vehicles on the road which can lead to less traffic jam. Because of modern technology, people are able to work from home and for shopping, it can be done by a few mouse clicks. Moreover, people do not have to worry about not getting proper education as there are many online courses available that they can enroll. For instance, according to survey conducted by Australian Traffic Authority, 75% of commuters used private cars for work and shopping. Therefore, by working from home and doing online shopping not only they can solve traffic problems but also save other problem like the climate change. There are other ways to settle the traffic-related problems as well. Working from home is not permissible in some professionals. In that case, it would be better if people often use more public transportation and utilize private only if it is necessary. In some countries, the governments provide bicycle lanes as an alternative way to use transportation. For instance, in Netherlands, the bicycle lanes have been constructed for the purpose of people and not to feel stressed during rush hours because of the traffic. Traffic block has become the serious issue these day as people have been commuting a lot for various reasons and I think controlling the necessity of traveling is not only solution. Using public transport and bicycles as a replacement can reduce the traffic problems if not solve.
