The future of automobiles will be driverless as common vehicles such as cars, buses and trucks will have computers replacing the drivers. This will make drivers obsolete making passengers the sole people in the vehicles. Apart from the disadvantages such as loss of jobs as drivers and the thrill of driving. Driverless modes of transport pose greater advantages to the future of transportion. Firstly, driverless vehicles are supposed to be much safer, preventing accidents on the streets and reducing mortality. This can be achieved by computers with artificial intelligence devising algorithms which are devoid of errors and could prevent calamities. Technological giants such as Google and Tesla have been relentlessly working on inventing softwares for driverless modes of trnasport. Secondly, driverless vehicles avoid the strenuous task of driving, making life comfortable. For instance, a doctor after working for16 hours can return home peacefully without risking himself from driving back sleep-deprived. Thirdly, automated vehicles are bound to avoid unnecessary usage of loud vehicle horns. This will reduce noise pollution in the environment and is bound to improve better health in the population. Lastly, automated vehicles avoid the chaos of traffic as human error is nullified and, idealistic driving techniques such as lane discipline and speed management can be implimented. This would inturn nullify the use of vehicle horns, thus reducing noise pollution. Thus driverless vehicles are beneficial to mankind as they show promise with advantages that render us safe from accidents, providing better comfort, avoiding road traffic and reducing noise pollution. I think that driverless vehicles will revolutionize transportation as the only people travelling inside vehicles will be passengers.
