Nowadays food is being transported all around the world to reach their consumers, however, many people are with and without this trend. I personally think it is a positive trend for numerous reasons yet of course it has some negative trends. Firstly, the food being transported is carefully packaged and goes through a process just to reach the consumer, everything is calculated precisely. The transportation vehicles also have the right machinery to keep the food at the right temperature whether cold, hot or even room temperature. Some countries don't have the optimal condition to grow or supply their people with what's needed, it might be the temperature, weather condition, animal habitat, and even the ideal machineries to get the job done. So they'll need to get those ingredients and food from more developed countries. Moreover, some food brands wont have factories in that country consequently their only way of expanding and reaching that area will be by using transportation and importing it into that country. For example, chip, cookies, gum, or sweet brands wont have factories all around the world. Developing countries might not have enough amount of food so they will need other countries help to feed the densely populated areas that lack the sufficient amount of vitamins and minerals. These are just some reasons of why food travels all around the world to reach the buyer, everything done is hygienic and safe so no harm is done to a consumer.
