In the world we are inhabiting there will always be the undeniable peril of natural disasters. Since the occurrence of such sudden accidents is an inseparable aspect of living on earth, as humans, the subject of taking precautions for the protection of our kind will always be on the table. In my opinion, this is the duty of every chosen government to put the life of the people above all else and by all means, do everything that is necessary during the time of disasters.
Given the growing amount of our knowledge of the way nature works and also the unstoppable development of technology, somewhat it has become easier for us to predict for example, if an earthquake is about to happen, therefore it is possible to prevent and maintain the level of destructions and the total of fatalities. Although it is lucrative that every government take action on their duties and be responsible at times of need, it is inevitable that when an unfavorable natural accident happens it could be so destructive that leaves behind irreparable damages. Some would agree that the active role of the government during such happenings is irreplaceable and it is only their job to take every precaution needed however, they are disregarding the fact that the intensity of such disasters is out of anybody’s power.
In general, the topic of government duties on the mentioned issue is controversial. Some might argue that in todays world where everything is technologized the inhibition of natural disasters have to be a simple task for the government this flatly contradicts the fact that these disasters could happen spontaneously and with great severity therefore they will not be always controllable but in the end, It is acceptable that the government must do everything in its power to minimize the danger of unpredictable natural disasters and prioritize the life of citizens.
