Samsul Haque (38) is a marginal farmer (WBA 054) who lives in Amirkhani village at Uttar Paschim Baniachong Union at Baniachong Upazila in Habiganj District. His family consists of 4 members (one son, one daughter, and his wife), but he has no own land. Samsul Haque is also cultivating by leasing other people's land. He used to grow with the seeds of paddy produced in the village, but as a result, the yield was not as expected. The Upazila Agriculture Officer of DAE has contacted him to collect high paddy seeds. As a result, he got 5 kg of BINA 21 variety seeds from Upazila DAE. He was able to advocate/collaborate with DAE by group approach. He has sincerely made paddy seeds and sown the seeds. He has planned to cultivate BINA 21 paddy in 28 decimals of land. Samsul Haque Said, I am thrilled to get BINA 21 paddy seeds; I will achieve a lot of experience and introduce high yield variety. VDC leader Jaheda Begum said we had introduced the High yield variety and increased crop production. Mr Abul Kalam (52) is a successful entrepreneur of Vaccinator and has been involved with the SHOUHARDO III as an LSP of Vaccinator. He could not have organised a vaccination camp before he got involved in the SHOUHARDO-all program. He vaccinated poultry and cattle every month. He earns BDT 12000 per month by vaccinating poultry and cattle and sells cattle medicine. Abul Kalam said, “My reputation has grown by being involved in SHOUHARDO-all Programs activities as a Vaccinator, and my income has increased now. “Sanchay Sathi Fahmida Said, “We can now easily have vaccinated our poultry and cattle at home” before there was no one in the village to treat animals and poultries” Abul Kalam maintains regular contact with the public and private sectors; as a result, he receives various types of advice from them.
