Urbanization as the term connotes is the gradual drift of the people from the countryside to cities in search of employment opportunities and for better standards of living. In simple terms, urban cities brimmed with humongous populations can be designated as urbanization. The modernization, technological advancement, and the heightening consumerism among the individuals for the want of opulent lifestyle have plummeted the salubrious aura of the urban cities thereby composing it to the phase of devastation. The skyscraper buildings, large-scale industries, overpopulation, heavy motor vehicles, and deleterious gases and smoke emitted from the factories due to urbanization are causing havoc and dismay to the Academicians across the globe. The transformation of the immaculate and flat surface of roads to corrugated and pock-marked ones replete with dirt and waste, massive felling of trees for commercial purposes has led to the depletion of oxygen levels, the excessive squandering of resources for self-complacence and perfunctory lifestyle by the younger generation, withering of time-honored values and ethos, and a run-of-the-mill activity without smorgasbord is eviscerating the life of exuberance and tranquility imprecating urbanization for triggering these factors on front-burner. The problems occasioned due to urbanization rose to astronomical levels making it insurmountable to overcome.
