Capital punishments for fugitive criminals on brutal murders, robberies and rapes still exists in many countries. Although death penalty is thought by some to be advantageous for the society, others believe it could be detrimental. In my opinion, I think the brutal punishments brings in more benefits for a better society whilst the minor problems it might add. Admittedly, there are some drawbacks in imposing extreme punishments to brutal criminals. Firstly, there are chances the immediate dependents of the criminal are posed with serious threat for survival. So, these punishments do not always end with the criminal death, but they haunt their children and partner as they are hated and isolated from the society. Secondly, should the criminals’ who realize their vices plea a second chance? Sometimes there are instances the fugitives fight back for life forgoing their frivolous past over their family to lead a better life. In such rare cases, slamming a capital punishment over them who wants to re-enter society as a good human is similar to denial of humanity. Nevertheless, despite minor drawbacks mentioned above, I believe society gets numerous benefits and safer environment when capital punishments are mandated over brutal vices and its offenders. One benefit is that, the number of repeat offenders of capital crimes will be gradually reduced and controlled under threshold. In some countries, that do not exercise such extreme punishments under their law, suffer soaring cases of brutal murders and crimes. In addition, absence of such law will lead to the formation of mafia and overwhelming cases of repeat offenders by snowballing effect in the society. Other benefit is that, Government gets economic benefits by reducing jail time of those criminals while hanging to death. These punishments completely eliminate the money spent by various governments on the reformation centres and maintenance of jails for those fugitives; nonetheless, most of these violent criminals tend to be repeat offenders post their jailtime. In turn, this huge sum of money could be invested back in the development of the society uplifting the lives of the citizens. In conclusion, I believe the benefits of capital punishments such as enriching the lives of the citizens towards a safer society far outweighs the few drawbacks it poses.
