Some people think the government should be responsible for the elderly, others think the children should be. Write about both views, and share your opinion.

It is considered by some that government should care for the elderly by itself, while there are others who think children should be grateful and financially support their parents during their retirement. I believe there is may be a mix of assistance from both the children and authority sides. On the one hand, many may recall the taxes, which can be very enormous and reach a percentage over 40% of income. In other words, when someone pays into a governmental budget half of salary during 30 or 40 years they must be expected some help. Unfortunately, the reality and expectations may be opposed and the venerable population can not meet ends. Additionally, the public system is not able to cover all expenses of the elderly. On the other hand, human beings invest time and effort into bringing their children. Surely, they may be expected some support in the future and consider their patience and endeavor as a win-win strategy. Logically, but in some countries, it is complicated to rely on children due to culture and mindset. In contrast in Italy, parents must provide money to their children up to the age of 35. Finally, in my opinion, there might third option. People should put their step ahead of poverty and try to collect some money within investments or bank deposits. There are existing many opportunities to automatically put steady percent into a bank account without permission to withdraw any sums under the appropriate age. In conclusion, not being reasonable during youthfulness might lead to poverty and rough situations in old age. In that case, it is rational not to rely on children or the government and try to avoid a financial case of emergencies.
